USC Diabetes Symposium 2023

AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (5.75 hours), Non-Physician Attendance (5.75 hours)

1. Recognize unique patient characteristics to create personalized treatment strategies for patients with type 2 diabetes.
2. Identify patients who would be ideal candidates for incretin-based therapy for diabetes and obesity.
3. Discuss risks and benefits of different treatment options for diabetes.
4. Utilize resources to provide care for patients in resource-limited settings.
5. Implement lifestyle management techniques that have proven benefit in patients with diabetes.
6. Provide evidence-based nutrition recommendations for patients with diabetes.
7. Counsel patients on the risks and benefits of artificial sweeteners.
8. Educate patients on the connection between obesity and type 2 diabetes.

The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 5.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be received by the USC Office of CME by email only by September 12, 2023 at 12:00 pm PDT for a refund. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied. In the event of course cancellation by conference organizers, all registration fees will be fully refunded. USC will not refund any travel costs incurred.
