2026 Annual Cerebrovascular Disease Symposium: The Modern Neurovascular Enterprise

This course presents an annual update of major advances in the treatment of cerebrovascular disease. The presentations cover the composite elements of clinical care, research discovery, education and training, and academic-community partnerships that comprise the modern neurovascular enterprise. The event features distinguished faculty from USC as well as thought-leaders from other institutions.

In addition to didactic presentations, participants will have opportunities to explore the neurovascular innovation gallery, where they can engage firsthand with technologies in neurovascular care. Exhibit activities are separate from the accredited educational program.

The program is intended for neurosurgeons, neurologists, radiologists, emergency department physicians, primary care providers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. It is constructed to be highly interactive, including case presentations, panel discussions, and question and answer sessions. Audience participation is encouraged.

1. Describe the continuum of clinical care, research discovery, education and training, industry collaboration, and academic-community partnerships that comprise the modern neurovascular enterprise.
2. Debate the promise of AI in neurovascular research, patient care, and training.
3. Implement prehospital and precision neuroimaging protocols for cerebrovascular disease.
4. Contrast the challenges and opportunities of delivering cerebrovascular care at a safety net hospital.
5. Compare the mobile stroke unit, telestroke, and other platforms for remote patient care.
6. Explain the role of translational science in neurovascular research.
7. Know the social determinants of health in stroke care.
8. Define the current approaches and unmet needs of neurovascular brain health across the health span.
9. Know the latest guidelines and practice-changing studies for stroke management.
10. Critique the limitations of the studies referenced above.
11. Formulate evidence-based treatment algorithms for the management of patients with these conditions.

Pre-registration ends September 29,2026 at 12:00pm PST. After Sept. 29, please register on-site on October 3.

The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 7.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received by the USC Office of CME by email only by September 30, 2026 at 12:00 pm PDT for a refund. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied. In the event of course cancellation by conference organizers, all registration fees will be fully refunded. USC will not refund any travel costs incurred.
