Street medicine addresses the unique needs of this population by delivering care directly to them n their own environment; in the woods, under bridges and in encampments. California has see an explosion of street medicine teams and is leading the way to addressing the profound health disparities that impact the health of our homeless neighbors, and driving creative solutions to create upstream change. The California Street Medicine Symposium is one of only a few street medicine focused conferences in the US, making this a unique opportunity to connect, learn and innovate. This event is designed to bring together street medicine teams, people with lived expertise in homelessness, community organizations, health plans, policy makers, academic researchers, and educators to discuss the current state of street medicine and where we want to go next. This year, in addition to our plenary sessions, we will offer workshops, academic poster sessions and an expansion of our popular “round table” discussions.

1. Discuss the complexities of health care delivery, policy and access for people experiencing homelessness.
2. Identify new, innovative ways to advocate for the unhoused population though networking, storytelling, and policy change.
3. Apply evidence-based medicine to the street environment.

The Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California designates this Live Activity activity for a maximum of 14.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.  Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be received by the USC Office of CME by email only by January 30, 2026 at 12:00 pm PDT for a refund. A $50 cancellation fee will be applied. In the event of course cancellation by conference organizers, all registration fees will be fully refunded. USC will not refund any travel costs incurred.
