Frances Chow, MD

Dr. Chow is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurological Surgery and Neurology at the University of Southern California, Keck School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine and completed her residency in neurology at the University of Southern California. She completed her fellowship in neuro-oncology at the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Dr. Chow specializes in treating brain and spine tumors. She is a principal investigator for the National Cancer Institute’s Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program, where she develops and leads early-phase clinical trials for brain tumors. She also conducts translational research on biomarker development to predict sensitivity to targeted therapy and immunotherapy. Her work is supported by the NIH and the American Cancer Society.

 

Dr. Chow was inducted into the inaugural class of the Society for Neuro-Oncology (SNO) Future Leaders Development Program, and she was elected to the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) Women in Immunotherapy Leadership Institute. She has been named as a Top Doctor by Los Angeles Magazine and Pasadena Magazine since 2022, and has been a recipient of the Super Doctors Rising Stars Award since 2020.
